Circular Economy

The circular economy is a system of production and consumption that aims to minimize waste and promote the sustainable use of resources. It is an alternative to the traditional linear economy, which follows a "take-make-dispose" model of production and consumption, leading to the depletion of natural resources and the accumulation of waste.

In a circular economy, the focus is on reducing waste and keeping resources in use for as long as possible. This is achieved through strategies such as designing products for reuse and recycling, using renewable energy sources, and promoting the sharing economy.

The circular economy is based on three principles:

Design out waste and pollution: Products are designed to be reused, repaired, and recycled, reducing waste and pollution.
Keep products and materials in use: Resources are kept in use for as long as possible through strategies such as repairing and refurbishing products, and recycling materials.
Regenerate natural systems: The circular economy aims to support the regeneration of natural systems, such as forests and oceans, by promoting sustainable practices and reducing waste and pollution.
